This message explores what it means to fear God and invite him into every moment of our lives. "He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure." Isaiah 33:6
At the end of this message, we handed out a copy of a prayer written years ago by a Christ follower named Brother Lawrence.
"O my God, since thou art with me, and I must now, in obedience to thy commands, apply my mind to these outward things. I beseech Thee to grant me the grace to continue in Thy presence; and to this end do Thou prosper me with Thy assistance, receive all my works, and possess all my affections."
We reworded it like this: God you're with me. In obeying you I have family, friends and work to take care of. As I go about doing these, grant me the grace to do these in your presence and if I don't please forgive me. As I go about doing these things in your presence please bless me in all of these things, receive all that I do as a gift to you and possess all my affections throughout the day.
